Youth & Children
YOUTH 11-18’s The programme will include youth-specific teaching and contemporary worship at morning and evening celebrations. Held in a local school, the venue is just for young people, giving them their own space to mix with each other and experience God. In the afternoon there will be activities and workshops just for young people. Our main speaker will be again the ever popular Matt Levett.
Matt is an experienced youth worker at The Forge Community Church (formerly Mendlesham Christian Fellowship), a trustee of Street Kids Direct and a sought after local speaker for youth events.
In the evenings will be a time of celebration as well as a talk from a Youth Worker in the East Anglia area. On Saturday we welcome Peter Hilman who is the Director for Legacy, a youth project in Essex that runs a skate park. On Sunday we have Rich Powney from Viz-a-Viz and on Monday we welcome Josh Hunt, who grew up in Felixstowe and helped to establish “Turning Point” before undertaking a BA in Youth Work in London.
CHILDREN Primary age children will be led in drama, craft, storytelling, worship, exciting teaching, messy games, quizzes and loads more by James Hamilton and “Free-Runners”. James is director of 'Bible to Life' Productions and Children's Ministry Director at Zion Christian Centre, Halesowen. James is an experienced actor and performer and for over 10 years has been involved in children’s ministry in the UK and overseas.
New for 2010 It is planned that their will be a film show for Junior age children during the evening celebration so that parents can have more opportunities to receive from God.
Hazel & Stuart Neal are warmly welcomed back after leading sessions for pre-schoolers (2½-4’s) for the past 2 years. Always receiving comments from parents of how much their children love the session they deliver, Stuart and Hazel will again be seeking to share the love of Christ through songs, stories and drama.
A parent-supervised area for the under 3’s will be available in Café Connect our live link facility adjacent to the main venue.
